Purpose
The purpose of the Professional Development Design Group (PDDG) lead the design and delivery of AHEP’s core professional development programme, which may include but not limited to:
- Online workshops
- Online lunch and learn series
- Specially developed programmes
- Flagship events
The group will ensure alignment with operational feasibility, AHEP’s Professional Framework and the wider AHEP strategy ensuring the delivery of high quality, strategically aligned professional development offer that builds on the high-priority themes.
Membership and Meetings
The group will consist of:
- AHEP’s Executive Director
- AHEP’s Delivery Lead
- AHEP’s Managing Consultant
- An AHEP Consultant
- An AHEP Trustee
- Another AHEP Fellow
The group will meet regularly during the initial development phase (September-December), with dates and frequency following this phase to be confirmed in the first meeting on Wednesday, 24 September from 13:00-14:00.
Governance and Terms
The group reports to AHEP’s Executive Director, and may consult with the Board of Trustees as required. Following an initial six month pilot, the group’s membership will be reviewed.
To be a member of the group, it is a requirement that you hold an active AHEP Fellow membership throughout the appointment. As a Fellow, this is an opportunity to showcase your expertise as well as an opportunity for personal growth, collaboration, and deeper engagement with the sector.
How to apply
This is a voluntary position and is only open to AHEP Fellows. The first Professional Development Design Group will take place on Wednesday, 24 September from 13:00-14:00. Before submitting your application, please ensure that you are available on this date. If you are not available on this date, your application will be withdrawn.
Please submit your expression of interest by 17:00 on Monday, 8 September. Following this date, applications will be reviewed and you will be contacted by email with an outcome.
